interlude dream; あああああああああああああああ. ✖
( WARNING: might possibly get a little disturbing in the comments, although in the scary sense more than the gore sense. If you're uneasy around uboa related things, proceed at own risk. )
[ If you happen to enter this dream, you might suddenly get a pretty pleasant feeling at first. The soft pastel colors on the walls, the nice carpet on the floor, the neat furniture-- it almost seems like a perfect room for a girl in her early teens to belong. And so there is a girl of about that age walking around. A perfect girl in a perfect room. Her blonde hair is done up in a ponytail and she's doing perfectly normal things; walking around in the room, studying at her desk, reading a book while sitting on her bed. She won't notice you even if you would try to shove her or poke out her eye, really, she just seems that absorbed in her own world.
The only thing that's not normal about the room is the fact that the lights keep going on and off for some reason. It's so bad that your eyes might need a moment to get used to the constantly changing light.
If you look for the source of the constant light switching, you'll find another girl standing near the light switch. She seems much less perfect compared to the blonde hair, her hair a bit more dishevelled in her braids and her face looking a bit drained. Yet she does notice you, unlike the blonde girl, and your gazes might even cross for a moment. If you've paid enough attention to the network lately you might recognize her as one of the newer arrivals.
But even if you notice each other, that doesn't mean she will stop pushing the light switch over and over again to make the lights switch on and off. Maybe you'll have to ask if you really want her to stop.
Or maybe you should just stick around and see what happens. ]

he winces, but makes out Madotsuki's shape and face between the darkness and the light. the girl with the knife. he'll get up from where he's sitting on the floor to nervously move over to her side. ]
Um- w-what's going on here...?

She just continues switching the light on and off, turning her gaze towards the boy when he gets closer to her. ]
I'm waiting. [ Her tone sounds very netural, as if nothing special is going on. She pauses, as the lights go on, off, on, off, on a few times. ]
... It usually takes a while before it comes out.

[ he'll glance over at Poniko across the room, going about her business. the blonde girl didn't seem to care about her lights being switched on and off. what was going on here...? ]
What is 'it'?

[ Easier to see than explain, she's aiming at, and then she turns her head back to take a glance at the blonde girl before looking back at Viktor, blinking a few times in the changing light. ]
It's a very small chance everytime you turn off the lights.

... I can't stab it though. It's.. one of the few things I can't do that to, for some reason.

It doesn't seem to be bothering her. [She is referring to the other girl, who hasn't stopped to look up or say anything.]
no subject
... Nothing will reach her any longer. [ And still she keeps turning the lights off and on, off and on as she speaks. ]
no subject
So why the lights?
no subject
It only comes out when it's dark.. but it's random. [ On. ] There's only a very small chance. [ Off. ]

[ She speaks the name very softly, as if just speaking the name would be enough to jinx it and make it pop up. But when nothing happens, her gaze shifts back from the blonde haired girl to chell. ]
Nobody except me has seen it before.. You must be either very lucky or very unlucky.

What are you doing that for?

This is the only way it will come out. [ She nudges a little with her head in the direction of the blonde girl on the other side of the room. ]

[He glances over to the other girl, raising a puzzled eyebrow.]

[ It seems she prefers saying that over speaking Uboa's actual name, maybe it just feels a bit safer. Either way her gaze darts to the floor for a moment as she speaks the words, even though she keeps switching the lights on and off. The blonde-haired girl still doesn't seem to notice anything. ]

He blinks, trying to get used to the constantly changing light. Then he scowls and turns to look at the lightswitch. The girl in the room doesn't seem bothered - she doesn't seem like she can see it. But there's another girl there, and Yosuke doesn't have a damn clue why she's doing what she's doing.
... But the irritation he feels melts away, curiously. Maybe it's how relaxing the room is otherwise, or maybe it's because the lights are flickering in time to his music, but now the situation seems kind of funny. He laughs as he approaches her.]
Lightswitch rave party, huh?
no subject
Lightswitch.. rave party? [ She repeats the words slowly, as if she isn't sure what they mean. ]
no subject
no subject
... Then.. maybe it is a lightswitch rave party. [ Not like Madotsuki has any idea of partying either way.. ]
[ At the last part her gaze shifts to the other girl though, her eyes narrowing just a bit. ] She doesn't notice anything. ... She never has.

[ There's almost a kanyeshrug after that, and she doesn't stop with the lights - nor does she stop looking at the other girl while doing so, almost as if she's waiting for something. ]
no subject
... Okay then. Uh, why are you doing this, then?
